Love itself is the healing power and the remedy for all pain ~ Hazrat Inayat Khan.

One of my earliest memories is the discomfort of growing pains. They affected me so much, but my mother would massage my legs at night with lavender oil and within moments I would drift off into a peaceful sleep. Perhaps it was a mother’s touch, perhaps it was her love, it may have been the healing properties of the lavender flowers but I take that power to every client and hope I give them the same support, relief and care that I would feel back then.

I have had the great privilege of working alongside many wonderful therapists, doctors and passionate individuals who have given me the opportunity to learn about and be inspired by herbs, oils, nutrition, massage and natural remedies.

I began my training in 2008 and have studied various forms of massage and holistic treatments. For the past few years I have focused on Ayurveda and Ayurvedic therapies under the training of Dr. Deepa Apte and yet I know I have only just touched the surface of this subject and look forward to many more years of learning.

My aim is to create a warm, relaxing environment where clients feel able to let go and find comfort and healing through massage. I work intuitively and ‘listen’ to the body to give each person a tailored experience specific to their needs.


Ayurveda : Sanskrit word meaning Science (Veda) of Life (Ayu)

 

Ayurveda is an ancient holistic healing system which encompasses not only all phases and stages of life but also the world around us. The aims and objectives of this science are to maintain the health of the healthy and to heal the disease of the unhealthy to bring the body back to its natural state or constitution.

Ayurveda is a complete way of life through diet, Yoga, massage, detoxification, herbal remedies, meditation and daily lifestyle. Through all of these elements, a person can achieve balance and wellbeing of the body but also improve their state of mind and mental health.

Through massage, my aim is to encourage easy flow of energy through the channels in the body, unblock energy that may cause physical disease or imbalances and nourish the organs and tissues of the body.
